My brother and I have been interested in alcohol stoves, I&amp;#39;ve made ~10 and he has made 100+. I really like the whitebox and his newest version. I would love to try another one out and let him stress test it. On my next trip I might use a fondue burner if I can fashion a suitable windbreak and potstand to fit it.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2.  Pot set is a 3-set pan/pot/kettle sold locally in Australia at Kathmandu.  I got it for Christmas so that&amp;#39;s all I got!  I like it because the pan is wide and efficient, and doubles as a pot lid.  The kettle I will ditch on my next trip.  Although it fits inside the pot/pan, I would rather fill that little space with other stuff.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3.  Because of all the reasons you listed!  Reliability, efficiency and durability. Stove:  an old butan...</title><content type='html'>Hey Brian, long time no see.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Stove:  an old butane stove, like the one seen &lt;a href="http://images.inmagine.com/img/westend61/wse240/wse240033.jpg" rel="nofollow"&gt;here.&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Pot:  A titanium nesting pot/pan set I picked up from REI. It&amp;#39;s very light and fits in a small carry bag.  The handles fold up against the sides of the pots/pans.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;d love to have something smaller for when we&amp;#39;re hanging out on a beach and not have to carry butane canisters to fuel it. Denatured alcohol is clear and when it&amp;#39;s carried in a small (often unmarked) container it&amp;#39;s easy to mistake it for something else, like water - sounds crazy but it DOES happen!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By adding two drops of food coloring (green in this case) I visually remind myself and others that this isn&amp;#39;t probably something you should be drinking and it does nothing to impair the efficiency of the fuel as far as I can tell.  It&amp;#39;s just one of those really easy little tricks that helps prevent a potentially fatal poisoning accident out on the trail :)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course, I also like to clearly label the bottle I keep the alcohol in too just to make sure, but there are those of us that for whatever reason do not read labels.
