My amazing friends at Sport Hansa have very graciously offered to provide a brand new Montane Minimus Ultralight Rain Shell ($200 value) as a giveaway prize to the readers of Brian's Backpacking Blog. If you're not familiar with the Montane Minimus, check out my recent review - spoiler alert, it's an amazing jacket!

Maximum Tech with Minimum Weight

The Montane Minimus jacket most definitely fits in the ultralight category weighing in at 8.075 ounces on my digital scale (8.45 ounces with the stuff sack that is provided). Unlike some other UL jackets, the Minimus has not sacrificed functionality for weight. Features include a huge chest pocket ideal for storing a map, a roll-away hood with wire reinforced brim, high-viz reflective markings on the hood, shoulders, and on the sleeves which are asymmetrically tailored for a more natural fit.

In addition to the clever design features, the Minimus has a water-proof main zipper, fully taped seams and is made using an ultralight Pertex Shield 2.5-layer fabric that features a waterproof breathable PU membrane and DWR coating for great wet weather protection.

To be eligible to win this jacket simply complete any or all of the entries in the raffle panel below and help to share the love of Sport Hansa and Montane. The giveaway will run until midnight on May 31st, 2013. One winner will be picked at random from all of the completed entires using Random.org. Please note: Depending on your size and the availability of the product, you may not get the black model as shown. Other colors would be red and green.

On behalf of Sport Hansa, Montane, and myself I'd like to wish everyone good luck on the giveaway. Thank you all for your ongoing participation in my blog, without you none of this would be possible.
